For instance, I considered a $200 headshot session to fall under the “budget” headshot category, but I realized that $200 is still a substantial amount of money for a long of people. Pricing for photography services is something that is often misunderstood. I think that a lack of transparency contributes to this, but there are also a few other factors at play. Pricing varies wildly from photographer to photographer based on their processes, workflow, and beliefs. There also seems to be a big skill gap with photographers; some are capable of magazine quality images, some not so much. This leads to photography services and pricing that varies greatly. How Long Does It Take for a Photographer to Edit Photos?
The short answer to this: it depends. On average, I return photos to clients within three days, and for personal projects, it can take up to a month. I'm a headshot photographer in Los Angeles, so I spend a TON of time retouching. I'd say the most significant issue when it comes to photo editing time is retouching.
